PULLMAN
HOTEL – LONDON ST PANCRAS The Pullman name is associated with rail travel and luxury, synonymous with the rail sleeping car invented by George Pullman in 1867 to provide sleeping accommodations on long distance rail travel trips, so it is with this connection in mind Accor hotels has branded its European collection of upscale rail station convenient hotels. On a recent trip from London by Eurostar to Brussels and beyond The Pullman Hotel London provided a perfect starting off point with style, comfort and welcoming service. Formerly a Novotel hotel the redesigned and rebranded Pullman Hotel on Euston Road a block away from the St Pancras International Terminal and Kings Cross station, aside from offering a nearby departure point for my travels, also provided a pampered base for exploring London, with an easy hop on the underground. After undergoing a multi-million pound complete renovation this stylish and chic hotel, the first Pullman Hotel in the UK with 313 rooms, has been transformed into one of London’s premiere hotels, focused on the business traveler, but providing all the needs of the casual leisure traveler as well. The crisp modern design rooms offer a range from “Classic” to Deluxe, all with King beds (though a two single bed room option is available), luxury linens and toiletries, 40’ flat screen TVs, and contemporary bathrooms with rain showers. A relaxing session in the whirlpool bathtub was a welcome end to a long day of walking around London. The double, or upgraded Deluxe Suites with expansive panoramic views across London, from the Victorian era brick of the St Pancras Station to the iconic “Gherkin” and brand new spire of “The Shard” rising over the skyline in the distance. Bowler hat lamps of the lobby design scheme and rail track motifs tie the period of the Pullman railroading past to modern contemporary feel of the colored leather of the lobby. The AA Rosette award winning Golden Arrow Restaurant & Bar, which encompasses a portion of the lobby floor, with open “theater “kitchen and grill, and glass enclosed vinotek concept wine and whiskey collection on view offers a menu of modern and fresh European inspired cuisine. Breakfasts are also served in the open dining space, with all a full complement of offerings before setting off on a busy day. As a business travel focused hotel the Pullman Hotel provide a high technology environment with high speed connection throughout and dedicated Connectivity Lounge concept developed in collaboration with Microsoft for multi-lingual meeting capability. Rooms have work station desks, and tea and coffee makers. The well-equiped upper floor gym offers a workout with views of the bustling St Pancras Station and Euston street. Not only for business, the Pullman Hotel offers romantic "Time for Love" getaway packages for two, featuring breakfast in bed, a bottle of champagne in the room and romantic gift on arrival, and late check out to make the most of that "do not disturb" sign - unless you have to catch an early train. © Bargain Luxury Travel Book a bargain deal at The Pullman Hotel London Find best luxury hotel and vacation deals in London on TripAdvisor Web Info These articles are copyrighted and the sole property of Bargain Luxury Travel and WLPV, LLC. and may not be copied or reprinted without permission.
